Parker and Son, Inc. (P&S) was established in 1991 (incorporated in 1994) by Frank and Brian Parker as a mechanical maintenance service General Contractor serving the petroleum and heavy industrial plants in the Gulf Coast area.  P&S has since carefully developed itself into a full service general contracting company, offering a wide range of disciplines to the petroleum and heavy industrial business throughout the USA.  P&S is recognized by industry as a reliable, safe, high quality and service conscious General Contractor. 

 
 

The company offers general contracting and professional services including:

  • Tank cleaning, waste handling and disposal services;
  • New API tank construction and repairs, UL 142 tank repairs;
  • Vessel, piping, tank and structural coating applications;
  • Certified welded piping, structural and mechanical installations with all metal types;
  • Onsite fabrication shop with TIG, MIG and metal arc welding procedures capability;
  • Design and installation of bulk fuel terminal facility power, additive control, PLC and automation systems; 
  • Truck rack and railcar load/unload station retrofit and new installations;
  • Certified railroad infrastructure installations and maintenance;
  • Structural concrete and paving applications;
  • Offshore oil production vessel and equipment repairs and installations;
  • Licensed dealer of pre-engineered structural steel buildings, canopies, fabrication and erection;
  • Project management, procurement services, construction engineering and inspection;
  • On-staff certified OSHA trainer services;
  • In-house QA/QC program conducted by certified API 653 tank inspectors and AWS Certified Welding Inspectors;
  • Fully trained management and field personnel in all aspects of safety and operator related training required by OSHA, HAZWOPER, DOT 195 Pipeline Regs, USCG and major oil companies standards and procedures;
  • Independent API 653 tank inspections, MFE scanning and reporting (performed by P&S affiliate company);
  • Professional engineering and CADD design services (performed by P&S affiliate company);
  • Independent NDE services and inspection;
  • Fully licensed, insured and bonded General Contractor throughout the USA.

 

Parker & Son is a Drug Free Environment company as per DOT 195 Guidelines and Procedures.  Random testing of all employees is corporate policy.   Our staff has been cleared by background checks for access and to work within State Port Authorities, US Military Bases, and major oil company facilities.

 All of the management and key field personnel at Parker and Son have received the following training:

  • Confined Space Entry and Rescue;
  • CPR;
  • First Aid.
  • HAZWOPER 40 hour First Responder;
  • HAZWOPER Incident Command Procedures;
  • DOT 195 Operator Qualifications.

 

The Company employs over 100 people at its main office in Atmore, AL and satellite office in Cape Canaveral, FL.  Our personnel come from all sectors of the petroleum, industrial, structural and heavy construction industries.  Their work history and training includes formal engineering, project management, estimating, site supervision, trade school certification, industry accreditation and on the job training from the ground up.
